Alabama residents who live in Pike County and have excellent grades can apply for the Dr. James H.. French Memorial Scholarship. The award seeks to help students who have earned high marks in accelerated science and math courses. Applicants must have at least a 3.5 GPA and have scored a minimum of 23 on the ACT. Community and school involvement and financial need are taken into consideration, along with academic accomplishments. The scholarship application requires two letters of recommendation.
